Our GILI lampshade is crafted from finely cut bamboo strips woven into an elegant funnel shape with intentionally coarse, slightly chaotic weaving. The open weave produces a relaxed airiness and projects warm, patterned light across the room, creating a naturally serene atmosphere.

The bamboo strips are woven onto a metal frame to ensure the lampshade retains its shape over time. A metal ring for attaching the bulb socket is integrated into the frame. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Because each step is done by hand using plant fibers, the lampshade naturally smells and feels like nature.

This lamp is handmade in Bali, Indonesia. When selecting local producers, we prioritize fair pay and good working conditions. Only experienced adult artisans work in the partner workshops. We maintain these standards through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with producers.
