Materials & Production

Our blankets are made from plant fibers and retain the natural smell and feel of cotton. We source cotton from local farmers on Java, where fields are naturally fertilized and bolls are hand-picked. After manual harvesting, the cotton is separated in a ginning machine, pressed into bales, combed, and hand-spun into yarn. Skilled artisans then weave the yarn on traditional wooden looms.

Cotton is valued for its absorbency and gentle feel on the skin. Because our cotton is not chemically processed, the blanket is not suitable for tumble drying and should be ironed at low temperature if needed.

Ethical Production
