The plate-shaped basket features a modern, clean-line pattern that complements minimalist and Nordic-style interiors. Main Material — Banana Fibre

The wall decor is made from plant-based banana fibres, giving the product a natural scent and tactile quality. Banana fibres are obtained from the layered trunks of cultivated banana trees. The fibres take on a rich brown hue naturally when air-dried in the sun for about a week. Strips are then rolled into characteristic strands approximately 6 mm thick. Only older, non-productive banana trees are used, allowing the plant to have a second life as a dimensionally stable and robust raw material for handcrafted baskets.

Production & Ethical Standards

This wall decor is handmade in Java, Indonesia. We select local producers who provide fair pay and safe working conditions. Only adult and experienced artisans work in the partner workshops. No harmful chemicals are used during production. Because all steps are performed by hand, the manufacturing process produces minimal greenhouse gas emissions. We maintain these standards through regular on-site visits and continuous personal contact with our suppliers.
