As each piece is handcrafted and made from natural fibres, slight variations in size, color and shape are to be expected and add to the individual character of the product.

Production and sustainability

The raffia is sourced from the fan-shaped leaves of the Gebang palm native to Indonesia’s tropical regions. Leaves are collected without damage, cut into fine fibres and sun-dried to enhance strength. Local artisans then weave these fibres or twist them into cords for use in home accessories. Our production partners are small family businesses selected for fair wages, safe working conditions and reasonable hours.
