Material & sustainability
Material: Rattan
The table is made entirely from high-quality rattan and only coated with a clear protective glaze so the material retains its natural light tone, fitting both minimalist and colorful interiors. Rattan is derived from fast-regrowing palm stems that often proliferate in dense forests. Harvesting the stems, which regrow quickly without chemical additives, provides abundant, renewable material for furniture and baskets. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable and readily available resource.
Production & ethics
Production site: Handmade in Java, Indonesia
We work with local artisans who are paid fairly and have good working conditions. All manufacturing steps are performed by experienced adult craftsmen without the use of harmful chemicals. Because the production is primarily manual, greenhouse gas emissions from manufacturing are minimal. We verify these standards through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with our partner workshops.
Care & use
Keep the table indoors or in covered outdoor areas to preserve the natural finish. Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth; avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners to maintain the protective glaze.
