• Materials: Main material — banana fibre; Other material — cotton (cords/macramé). The cotton cords are wrapped around the robust banana fibre strands to create a contrasting and harmonious white-and-beige appearance.

Banana fibre is produced from the layered trunks of banana trees: strips are sun-dried for about a week, producing an intense brown color, then rolled into approximately 6 mm thick strands. Only old, dying banana trees are used, giving the material a second life as a durable raw material for artisanal baskets.
