Material: Seagrass — a plant fibre (commonly referred to as seagrass by basket makers) that resembles a small palm-like plant found on sandy tropical beaches in Asia. Leaves are harvested, cut into strips, dried, and handwoven, giving the product its natural aroma and tactile character.

Production site and sustainability: Handmade in Java, Indonesia. We prioritize fair pay and good working conditions when selecting local producers. All workshops we partner with employ adult, experienced artisans and avoid harmful chemicals in manufacture.
