Slight variations in size, color and shape can occur due to manual production and natural differences in materials.Materials & craftsmanshipMain material: Banana fibreBanana fibres are extracted from the layered trunks of cultivated banana trees. The intense brown color appears naturally after sun-drying for about a week. Individual strips are then rolled into characteristic strands approximately 6 mm thick. Only old, dying banana trees are used, giving these plants a second life as a durable, dimensionally stable raw material for handcrafted baskets.Other materials: Cotton, nylon thread, metal frameThe decorative pattern is created with cotton and nylon threads embroidered onto the banana-fibre base.
