The cotton fields are naturally fertilized and the bolls are handpicked. After ginning, the cotton is pressed into bales, combed and hand-spun into yarn. Craftsmen then weave the yarn on traditional wooden looms. This unprocessed cotton is highly absorbent and skin-friendly but should not be tumble dried. The natural production process avoids chemical treatments.Production and ethics:This pillowcase is handmade in Java, Indonesia. We prioritize fair pay and safe working conditions when selecting local producers. No harmful chemicals are used during manufacturing. Because each step is done by hand, the production generates minimal greenhouse gas emissions.
