Use and capacity:
The rectangular trunk design with a hinged lid keeps contents out of sight while maintaining good ventilation thanks to the woven structure. The natural color and clean lines allow KELANA to integrate into bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms and entryways. Use it to store laundry, blankets, cushions, toys or other household items. One L basket can accommodate the volume of two S baskets; sets are offered as two S plus one L.

Main material: Water Hyacinth.
Other materials: Wood (for closures and structural accents).
Water hyacinth is a fast-growing tropical aquatic plant. Harvested stems are sun-dried for three to seven days to prepare strong, fibrous material suitable for weaving. The finished basket retains the natural scent and tactile qualities of plant fibers. Because each piece is woven by hand, slight variations in size, color and shape are normal and emphasize the artisanal character of the product.
Production and ethics:
Made in Java, Indonesia. We prioritize fair pay and safe working conditions at our production sites. All manufacturing steps are carried out by skilled artisans without harmful chemicals. The predominantly manual process keeps greenhouse gas emissions low. We maintain ongoing on-site oversight and continuous communication with our partners to ensure responsible production practices.
