It pairs durable banana fibre with a white cotton cord macrame pattern to give your home an exotic, natural accent. Practical handles make it easy to move; its robust construction suits everyday use as a laundry basket, planter cover, or general storage bin for toys, throws, and miscellaneous items. Packaging is plastic-free, the product is 100% handmade and produced under fair-trade conditions.Materials and craftsmanship:Main material: banana fibre. Banana fibres are obtained from the layered trunks of agriculturally used banana trees; only old, dying trees are used, giving the material a second life as a strong, dimensionally stable raw material. When dried in the sun the fibres develop an intense brown tone. Individual strips are rolled into roughly 6 mm-thick strands before being woven into baskets.
