Materials & craftsmanship

Main material: Raffia (Corypha utan). Other material: Metal frame. Our lampshades are crafted from plant fibers that retain a natural scent and tactile quality. Raffia leaves are harvested sustainably in Southeast Asia; they are dried and processed by hand to achieve the desired color and texture. The relative rarity and manual processing of raffia make it a premium, durable material with a pleasantly soft but robust character.

Installation & care

You can source compatible cables and bulbs at any DIY or lighting store. To preserve the natural fiber, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and clean gently with a soft brush or dry cloth.

Ethical production

This lampshade is handmade in Java, Indonesia. We select local producers who provide fair pay and good working conditions; only adult, experienced artisans are employed. No harmful chemicals are used, and because production is manual, greenhouse gas emissions are minimal. We maintain these standards through regular on-site visits and continuous personal contact with our partners.
