The filigree RAHINA basket features a curved woven pattern that gives it a tropical, airy appearance and makes it a striking decorative piece. Sustainability
Rattan palms often grow abundantly in dense forests and can be invasive, competing for nutrients with other species. Harvesting the fast-growing stems—without chemical additives—and drying them for use in furniture and baskets makes rattan a highly sustainable, readily available material.

Production & ethical sourcing
Handmade in Java, Indonesia. We select local producers who provide fair pay and safe working conditions. All artisans are adult and experienced; no harmful chemicals are used during production. Because the baskets are crafted entirely by hand, the manufacturing process generates minimal greenhouse gas emissions. We verify these standards through regular on-site visits and continuous personal contact with our partner workshops.
