Materials & Craftsmanship

Main material: Seagrass. What is commonly called “seagrass” by basket makers is not an underwater plant but a small, palm-like plant found on sandy tropical beaches in Asia. The leaves are harvested, separated, cut into strips, dried, and then woven by hand. Other material: metal frame for added stability.

Each lampshade is an individual work of art and may vary slightly in size, color, and shape due to the handmade production and natural variations in the material.

Production & Ethical Standards

This lampshade is handmade in Bali, Indonesia. We carefully select local producers who provide fair pay and good working conditions. Only adult, experienced artisans work on these products, and no harmful chemicals are used in the production process. Because every step is done by hand, the manufacturing generates minimal greenhouse gas emissions. We verify these standards through regular on-site visits and continuous personal contact with our partner companies.

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping within Germany is free via DHL with an estimated delivery time of 2–3 working days. International shipping is also handled by DHL with typical delivery times of 3–7 working days. Unless otherwise stated in the item description, all items are available for immediate dispatch.
